Gala

Gala (b. 1990, Kazakhstan, USSR) is a visual artist and professional graphic designer. She graduated from the School of Art in 2007 and earned her degree from the Institute of Contemporary Art’s Faculty of Graphic Design in 2013.
Blending her structured design background with visual arts, Gala explores the theme of embodiment through dance, drawing, and personal therapy. Her artistic research, titled The Body’s Voice, treats the human body not as an object for evaluation, but as a subject of study—natural, honest, and carrying its own unique history.
The body speaks. It has its own voice: non-verbal, but deeply sincere. Gala is drawn to working directly with form and volume. She “cuts out” boundaries, filling them with content perceived through her own prism. For her, the stencil is not just a way to depict, but a way to materialize what she feels and sees.
