“Life is like a bird, just as it comes it goes” Margarita Igea
This phrase, inherited from my maternal grandmother, runs through the work and summarizes the deeply existential character of artistic practice itself.
Through painting and sculpture, the silent struggle that inhabits human beings is explored. The works, faces and fragmented figures emerge from a material and vibrant painting, where the gesture builds portraits loaded with vulnerability, memory and resistance.
Work is a vital adventure, inviting us to explore the interior geographies where fragility, strength, the ephemeral and the essential coexist.
