A bit about me – I’m a London based artist who, up until a few weeks ago, also worked as a full time consultant. Last year I went on sabbatical to travel, which gave me the time and space to focus on my art and start an account documenting my travel sketches.
Since then, I’ve found a renewed passion in creating and sharing my work. But, it’s the work I created once home that has the most personal meaning to me.
“Mum on the sofa” series – a set of portraits I’ve done of my mum over the last ten months. To me, these portraits document intimate moments of stillness and time passing in my house. Also six others portraits are all connected on the same roll of paper (around 9mx1.5m).
All the portraits are produced in a mix of acrylic markers and gouache.
