Manu Camille

Bio: Manu is a self-taught painter from Germany.

His work explores themes such as attachment and confinement, masculinity, faith, spirituality, and beauty. He became particularly known for his cowboy series, to which he repeatedly returns. In these works, the cowboy is less a symbol of the American Dream and more a subject of entirely new visual worlds. They become carriers of identity for entire groups that exist both in opposition to and in relation with one another.

This year, Camille exhibited at Art Karlsruhe, one of the largest art fairs in Germany, and works with a gallery in Stuttgart.
