Artist Statement
My artistic research is rooted in the profound observation of the human figure, an interest developed through years of experience as an archaeologist dedicated to documenting human traces. In my creative process, a markedly gestural approach—characterized by marks and planes almost “sculpted” onto the surface—coexists with a more meditative execution.

Through charcoal, pastels, and oil painting, I investigate the body as a living narrative, stripping away rhetoric to capture the ephemeral suspension of the everyday.

My work seeks a silent dialogue between the subject and the environment, where the urgency of the mark defines the emotional space.
