Angela Wright

I graduated from Camberwell College of Arts with a B.A in Fine Art and Ceramics in 1995 and since that time I have frequently exhibited my work.

I am an installation artist.  My work is site specific and reaches a full conclusion in situ.  I make large scale works and sculptures in Cathedrals, churches, corporate buildings and public places. It is very important to me that my work relates to its environment. I look to nature as a constant source of inspiration.  My installations are often constructed from multiple parts which can be difficult and time consuming to produce.  I use materials such as wool, twigs, wire, wedding tulle, my clothes, unfired porcelain clay, paper, glass etc.

Recent installations include ‘Broken Lives’ a response to the ending of WWII, using broken mirror glass to produce a contemplative and reflective pool and ‘Memory Encrusted Table Top’ using objects accumulated over time.
