Shirley Smith
I’m Shirley, a mum of two youngsters and currently finding myself again in art. I realised after becoming a mother than I had lost all grip on who I think I am. I even wondered if I have ever known.
The last time I remember feeling like I was truly authentically myself- when I try to transport myself back through time to find when that was- I picture myself sitting on my bedroom floor, probably about ten years old, lost in something creative.
The artwork that I create now is a glimpse into my soul. It represents the journey I am on to return to my ten year old self (me) again.
It is bright, colour packed, it has character and tells a story, it is pretty, beautiful, and inviting.
