Juliet Rose
Bio:
Juliet Rose has a Masters degree in Fine Art from C+G of London Art School and a BA at the University of Westminster in Ceramics. She grew up in London and now resides in Chichester, UK.
Her current work focuses on mundane man made industrial elements photographed in the London Underground or overground networks and then combined with hand drawn marks and bold brush strokes of colourful paints and inks. They too are then photographed and combined into a fresh expression offering a vivid and celebratory energy.
She is mostly inspired by the bold brush work of Pierre Soulage and the abstract expressionists as well as Brutalist architecture and urban modern graffiti. Juliet has exhibited across the UK and internationally in New York, Washington and New Mexico with Steps Gallery, Beverley Knowles Fine Art, The Walk Gallery.Z
